SwishCam Privacy Policy

SwishCam is a basketball video recording, scoreboard, game history, and player highlight app. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information handled by the app

SwishCam lets you enter team names, player names and numbers, scores, game information, and seasons. It also uses the camera and microphone to record games and may access your photo library to save and play recordings and highlights.

Local storage

Team, player, score, season, and game-history information is stored locally on your device. Videos and generated highlights are stored in your Apple Photos library. SwishCam does not operate an account system or upload this content to a SwishCam server.

Data collection and tracking

SwishCam uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how app features are used and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve reliability. This may collect an app installation identifier, app interactions, subscription status, coarse device and app information, and crash or diagnostic data. SwishCam does not send player names, team names, jersey numbers, contact information, photos, audio, videos, precise location, or other game content to Firebase.

This information is used only for analytics and app functionality, is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking, and is not sold. Google processes this information as SwishCam’s service provider under its Firebase terms and privacy practices. If you choose to share or export a video, Apple’s system sharing controls determine where it is sent.

Subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. SwishCam receives subscription entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features, but does not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Children and youth sports

SwishCam is intended to be operated by parents, guardians, coaches, and other responsible adults. Please obtain any permission required before recording or sharing a game, especially when children appear in a recording.

Deleting information

You can delete games and teams inside the app. Videos saved in Photos remain under your control and can be deleted using the Photos app. Deleting SwishCam removes locally stored app data, subject to Apple device backups.
